Those of us who operate for the most part in the public sphere as "professionals," trying to earn what our experience says we're worth and not freak out the squares we encounter by exposing too much personal truth or weirdo history, struggle to figure out how much we're supposed to tip our hands sometimes. My dirty secrets of the past are varied and generally buried, though there is one of the present that I truly believe is light, vibrant, exciting, and totally useful. I just don't talk about it as a professional, because of all the crazy shit I've been involved in, this is the thing that seems to get me the oddest response: I read tarot.
I've put up a semi-hidden portal to this portion of my experience and path, because... well I am a whole person, and the tarot is SUPER REAL to me. More than therapy, sometimes more than talking to friends, the tarot is so trusty, handy, reliable, generous, spot-on, and AWESOME. I've learned through nearly ten years of devoted and sincere study of archetypes, meanings, relationships, and personal reference that it is a serious and beautiful tool for consultation that can truly transform a life.
I'm reading as part of a Full Flower Moon celebration hosted by Moon Church and Top 40 on Wednesday, May 15. There's info and RSVP contact here. Joining me are the amazingly fabulous, beautifully illuminated Sera Timms, Eliza Swann, and Tanya Love.
I discover new stuff in and about and with the tarot all the time! Besides being so dang helpful, it's also endlessly mysterious and fascinating, ever-rewarding. Thank you, tarot! Perhaps I will start posting about some of it here...
